The Hectic Week

First and foremost I would like to say hi and dedicate this post to my lovely ghost, she's a ghost from Singapore and her name is Poojha I guess (did I spell it right?) So this is for you. Take care and I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!

Poojha (My Singapore Ghost)

Now to start this hectic week, let's start with Monday - Deepavali day. That morning I went to my friend Kesher's house with my friend Jackson. We spend some time to talk about our lives and then headed for lunch (the mutton was savadi la Kesher) and then we went to the room and lepak lepak talk talk and after that we went to Preeta's house. There we met up with our other frens, Ganesaa, Navin, Francis, Desmond and Francis' cousin (I forgot his name). Again I was asked to take lunch but happily declined. I had to head home cause I was planning to go to Indian Street to get some clothes but the plan got cancelled and I went bac to Preeta's house. From there we went to Sir Bala's house and again were forced to eat. I juz had a piece of cake as my stomach was slowly expanding. After hanging out there for a while we went to Ganesaa's house after which I went back home after sending Preeta back.

Now the next day I was suppose to deliver my first ice-breakers speech. I had to be in college earlier because we had to prepare some stuffs for the "Bloody Hell Show" and also to practice the songs we were goin to sing on that day.

YES WE WERE PRACTISING, ok ok we were having a break

After all the practice, I had a quick change and headed for the Senate Conference Room to prepare for my speech. This time there were 3 senior Toastmasters - ACB Arul, ACG CL Lee Wei Seong and DTM Soh. Among all the days, they had to choose the day I was speaking to come. Anyhow all went well and i managed to deliver my speech without much difficulty. My title was "Dr. Love" and here I'll attach the beginning and the ending of my speech.

Beginning:

“U CAN TEAR MY HEART APART, BUT U CAN NEVER TEAR MY SOUL APART”
With these words I march forward not looking behind,
Seeking the purpose of my life which I have yet to find.
You may ask why I call myself Dr. Love,
I guess it’s just a gift from God above.

Ending:

Now I hope you know better about my name,
I don’t expect any sort of fame,
This life of mine is a game,
I just need to have an aim,
And hope that I won’t be lame,
So if I happen to see a fine dame,
She would see that I’m not the same.
Thank you.

Now before I could have a sigh of relief, I was already fretting about the thing which was supposed to happen the next day. I was suppose to be the emcee for the DeepaRaya celebration in my college. Besides that the official opening of our college's cafe was suppose to take place the next day. Blackout Bistro was wad it was called and after a succesfull opening the crowd moved on to the DeepaRaya celebrations, I mean the important crowds. Well to make it short, things went well, though the crowd was ever so supportive *sarcastic*, nw I kinda haf an idea why the college is dead its because even the staffs themselves are so not cooperative wih the exception of Dr. Lim of course. After that I could take a huge breath of relief for all the major stuffs were over.

Now the next day, was a bit more relaxed, wait what am I saying, it wasn't relaxed at all. I had to meet Dr. Lim (CEO & advisor of HICT) at 11.30 in the morning. I reached the college at around 11 and I saw some of my friends in my college who were from STAR who were in my college for a seminar. Rachel and I then went to meet Dr. Lim because she wanted to see us to discuss about being the emcees for the upcoming convocation day. After that I set off to arrange all that was needed for the talk that was suppose to take place that evening. We had managed to arrange the world's 2nd best speaker to give a talk about his experience in competing in the finals and wad do's and dont's should we practice. I had to run around arranging his needs, getting a dvd player arranging the projector, God that really was tough, thank God Abg. Aziz was there to help me thru everything and luckily that too went on well.

The next day, was the biggest day of the whole week. THE BLOODY HELL SHOW!!!
We were looking forward to it because it was supposed to be better and more massive than the Freedom 2008 show we had this last April. After decorating the auditorium to make it look spooky and haunting. We focused on the opening after that, there were supposed to be 3 ghosts who were supposed to act as statues and not move a muscle until all the audiences were seated and a witch came to give them life. That went perfectly well and so did the whole show, except for the appaling sound system which was deemed the biggest problem throughout the show.
It was really a great experience learning this whole thing bout getting a show done and decorating it and all, and I thank all of you who were involved and in making this show a wonderful one
